millennials real estate

Millennials roughly are defined as the generation born between 1981 and 1996, which means they’re currently between ages 22 and 37. Not surprisingly, this generation makes up the largest population of home shoppers and purchasers of all generations. Considering the age spread, this demographic covers those most likely to purchase their first home, as well as those likely to sell their first home to purchase a more expensive home. Additionally, according to a the National Association of Realtors’ most recent ‘Aspiring Home Buyers Profile‘ report, of all the generations, Millennials find it the least difficult to save for a down payment. If you’re considering selling your home, you would be wise to pay attention to this demographic’s wants and needs in a home. With that in mind, here are five features Millennials want in a home.
