TOM PETTY TRIBUTE BAND: THE WAITING

Six  road tested musicians from various musical backgrounds, coming together to bring the folks Roadhouse inspired rock’n roll shows & to Celebrate the music of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers – since 2013… “oh my my – oh hell yes”

    JASON WICKENS

    Jason Wickens

“Life as a rancher is never easy. Long hours, little money and a seemingly endless amount of work fill each day. Sometimes, those responsibilities can keep you from fulfilling other dreams. For singer-songwriter Jason Wickens, music and ranching naturally go hand in hand.
While learning the ropes on his family’s ranch in Montana, he also taught himself guitar. As he grew older, he saved up enough money from working in oil refineries to build himself a small studio. It steadily grew into a special place where friends could gather, create and share great music. That led to the development of “Live From The Divide,” a public radio program that showcases works of the songwriter community.
But none of this has come easily. Balancing work, family and music is no easy feat. Many times, Wickens was had to take up ranching jobs to keep things afloat. Even during the darkest days, he was inspired by his fellow songwriters to keep marching forward.”

Gearing up for wondrous summer ahead, we here at The Rialto are joining forces with our best biking pals at Alter Cycles, Summit Bike and Ski, and Sklar Bikes to give us all a reason (as if you needed one) to pull out your bicycle (if you haven’t already), grease up those chains, tighten those bolts, air up those tires, and throw on your helmet, to get this season going with a send off you won’t forget anytime soon. Come celebrate post-graduation and party down to some sweet sweet rock and roll from Wire Rider and The Salamanders, and some curated tunes in the Burn Box from one of Bozeman’s best DJs, Mr. Dave Hollier.

Beginning in the afternoon with a critical mass style bike gathering, we’re hitting the streets and hitting up a few of our favorite bike palaces along a winding, twisting path through our lovely city, ending at The Rialto for a night of information, shorts films, a local slide show, and a raucous band to send you off into a Cycle-Shangri-La.

Map of the bike path and stopping points to come soon.

We want your bicycle photos! Send no more than 10 (our online elves get overwhelmed easily) of your best to talent@rialtobozeman.com and we’ll edit them cleverly together to play for the amusement of all. Oh the nervous excitement of awaiting your best pose to pop up.

Be safe. Be courteous. Be free.

Fork & Spoon strives to support Montana’s farmers and ranchers by incorporating locally sourced food in its meals whenever possible. As part of this effort, we participate in Harvest of the Month by hosting a monthly Harvest of the Month dinner, where we feature one Montana-native food item in the nightly meal as much as possible. Bring your families and encourage your kids to guess in how many dishes Chef Rick has featured the food item. Thanks to Gallatin Valley Farm to School for their partnership.
